We all face challenges in life which can feel overwhelming. During these stressful times, we may not be able to clearly see our options because of our own stress level, emotional pain, and confusion over what is best. In therapy, I can help you by providing a compassionate, safe, non-judgmental space to express your deepest thoughts and feelings. Together we will explore your options and I will be there to support and empower you as you make positive changes.
Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and Interpersonal Therapy, I assist clients to successfully overcome and cope with anxiety, depression, separation/divorce, assertiveness, self-esteem issues and unhealthy relationship patterns. I specialize in treating emotional and psychological trauma resulting from sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse and recovery from childhood neglect and abuse.
Since 2009, I have worked extensively with trauma victims struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder at the Women's Center of Jacksonville and received special training in EMDR and Prolonged Exposure Therapy.
My education includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master's of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Florida.
I am currently studying a mindfully integrated Jungian approach to psychotherapy as reflected in work of author and teacher David Richo. For more information regarding this please watch this video - David Richo Book Talk on "How to be an Adult in Relationships"
